Edinburgh Skeptics Society promotes science, reason and critical thinking in Edinburgh and Scotland. We have a policy of "Respect People, Challenge Ideas" and we put on thought-provoking talks and friendly social meets throughout the year and during the Science Festival and Fringe. Most of our events are free, but we ask for donations to cover running costs (like this meetup group) and speakers' expenses.
